U-Nut Threaded Barrel

Threaded tapped barrel U-nuts, also known as LUGS and chimney nuts, are a type of U-nut featuring an internally threaded barrel that provides deeper thread engagement than standard flat U-nuts. Multi-threaded U-nuts are ideal for high-load, high-serviceability applications across automotive, HVAC, electronics, and industrial assembly.

Self-retaining threaded barrel u-nuts are simply clipped, latched or pressed into their mounting holes at the panel edge or central panel location. The mating panel is positioned and the screws driven in for a solid, reliable assembly. LUGS can be installed for both blind and front mounting attachments. Chimney nuts combine the robustness of a traditional mechanical fastener and the versatility of spring steel clips to create a value-added panel assembly solution.
