From a bicycle to a snowblower, McLellan shows what things look like when they are taken apart. He stayed faithful to the assembly of each object, and tried to lay out the pieces in the order in which they were revealed. He took apart fifty design classics that were in working order and well built. Both old and new objects were photographed – yet one thing is always constant – fasteners held them together!
